Player Profile – Ted Purdy
Since making his professional debut in 1996, former University of Arizona standout Ted Purdy has been a steady player on the PGA TOUR. In 2009, he placed 156th on the Fed Ex Cup points list finishing with one top ten finish and five top 25 finishes.
Purdy's support of Military Warriors Support Foundation
PGA TOUR player Ted Purdy is proud to support Military Warriors Support Foundation (MWSF), a non-profit organization based in San Antonio, TX dedicated to demonstrating support for the men and women of our military by providing practical opportunities to those injured in service to our country. The Foundation accomplishes this by providing academic scholarships; work force re-training; job placement assistance; and a variety of programs designed to meet the unique needs of wounded warriors and their families, including individual and family mentoring, recreational outings, financial planning and family counseling.
MWSF also offers Homes4WoundedWarriors, a program that provides qualified wounded warriors with a mortgage-free home to aid in the transition to civilian life. After a period of stewardship, the home is then deeded to the wounded warrior. For more information, visit www.militarywarriors.org.
